Life, liberty and happiness.
Whenever read of heard these words still stir our souls, not because of their masterful prose, but because they boldly express the Truth that God created us and gives to us all an irrepressible desire to pursue happiness and savor its delights. God’s creative genius is the purpose of our lives.
We must not let the present-day threats to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to extinguish our hope and fill us with despair. Assuredly, our contemporary crisis is not political or economic or social in origin, but fundamentally we face an increasingly fierce spiritual battle.
Spiritual problems demand spiritual solutions. Go to God, do not delay.
As followers of Christ and members of His Church -that is, intentional disciples – our hope arises from the perpetual promises of Christ Who truly is Lord, Savior, Messiah and King. We hold to be true that deep happiness is neither a sentiment nor a whim, but the blessed fruit of seeking and loving the One True God.
