Eucharist

“Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.”

John 6:56

The Eucharist is the center of all the Sacraments because the saving sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the Cross is made present during the words of consecration in a mysterious and real manner.

The Eucharist is the center of all the Sacraments because the saving sacrifice of Christ Jesus on the Cross is made present during the words of consecration in a mysterious and real manner.

When we eat His Sacred Bread, we unite ourselves with the love of Jesus, who gave His Body for us on the wood of the Cross.

Christ Jesus is really present in the Eucharist with His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. It is the same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem and was carried in the arms of Joseph and Mary during their flight to Egypt. It is the same Jesus who grew up and worked hard.

When we drink His Precious Blood, we unite ourselves with Him who poured out His Blood for love for us.

“For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.”

John 6:55

Jesus Himself celebrated the Last Supper with His disciples, giving Himself to them under the signs of bread and wine and commanded them from that moment forward, even after His death to, “Do this in remembrance of me” (1 Corinthians 11:24).

The typical age of reception of the Sacrament of Eucharist is 2nd grade. It is for parents to make sure that their children receive this Sacrament.

If your child has been baptized but did not receive the Sacrament of Eucharist during their 2nd grade year or you are a baptized adult who has not yet received the Sacrament of Eucharist, please contact us.
