Confirmation

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.”

Ephesians 4:30

Confirmation equips us with grace – divine power – to step out onto the field of life and flourish as a follower of Christ and member of His Church.

“Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John, who came down and prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, for He had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”

Acts 8:14-16

In the Diocese of Toledo, the bishop has set 8th grade as the typical age to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. It is for parents to make sure that their children receive this Sacrament.

If your teenage child has been baptized but did not receive the Sacrament of Confirmation during their 8th grade year or you are a baptized adult who has not yet received the Sacrament of Confirmation, please contact us using the form.
