Advent means arrival. We celebrate Jesus’ first arrival at Christmas, and we also keep before us His final arrival at the end of time all-the-while we live in deepening desire of His coming to us daily.

Jesus arrived with love at Bethlehem. He  comes with grace – power – into our bodies, minds and souls. He will come with justice at the end of the world. His triple arrival moves us to stand erect with raised heads, remaining vigilant and praying for strength come what may.
