Today BLESSED PALMS provide a notably festive feel. We receive them entering church and raise them during the procession.

They also signify Jesus’ conquering victory for us and for for our salvation. Thus, we take them home to keep them before us as symbols of Love’s ultimate triumph. They herald Jesus’ definitive sacking of evil that delivers us from the wily clutches of evil, including the diabolical powers of sin and death.

Let us resolve to conquer with Jesus and renounce evil in all its disfigured forms by keeping our sights set squarely upon His Cross, from where He reigns as KING and offers us genuine freedom.
