Baptism
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
Matthew 28:19
Baptism is the foundational Sacrament and prerequisite for all the other Sacraments.
“’Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, they cannot enter the kingdom of God.’”
John 3:5
Baptism is a grace, an undeserved divine gift. God accepts us unconditionally as His own. Our personal life is submerged in the boundless reservoir of God’s love. We now belong to Christ and no longer to ourselves.
“For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body –Jews or Greeks, slaves or free — and all were made to drink of one Spirit.”
1 Corinthians 12:13
Baptism unites us with Jesus Christ, frees us from original sin and all personal sins and enables us to rise with Him to a life without end.
“We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.”
